John Sutch Cranes has once again demonstrated its expertise in high-precision lifting, successfully completing the installation of a 13.250-tonne transformer for a valued repeat client.
With no margin for error, the lift demanded absolute coordination, technical planning and the right equipment specification. Leading the operation was Jimmy on the ground, supported by Nile with veteran crane operator, Ian, in the cabin - a team whose experience and communication ensured a seamless execution from start to finish.
At the centre of the lift was the Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1, operating on full ballast - a configuration that was 100% required to safely achieve the reach, capacity and precision needed for the job. Under tight tolerances, the crane delivered exactly as planned, placing the transformer with millimetre accuracy.
