Another standout job delivered by the team at John Sutch Cranes Ltd, this time working in the heart of Blackpool.
We executed a complex lift of reinforced concrete sections as part of ongoing demolition and redevelopment works adjacent to the Houndshill Shopping Centre.
The slabs - each with substantial weight and awkward dimensions - were lifted using a 74-tonne ballast configuration on our mobile crane, rigged for precision and safety in a constrained city centre environment. The set-up required close coordination with site teams and traffic management, not to mention meticulous planning to ensure the lift was safely carried out beneath the ever-watchful eyes of those in Blackpool Tower.
"This project really showcased our team's expertise in urban lifting operations," said Paul Parry, Sales Director at John Sutch Cranes.
"The combination of heavy concrete panels, tight city centre logistics, and the need for absolute precision made this a challenging but rewarding job. Our crew's professionalism and attention to detail ensured everything went smoothly."
Project Highlights:
This was a cracking effort by the crew on the ground, and it's always a privilege to play our part in reshaping such iconic town centre locations.
