John Sutch Cranes is proud to share an update from our annual Christmas lifting operations in Liverpool, where we’ve once again supported the preparations for the city’s festive season and world-famous Christmas markets.

There’s something special about lifting on home turf — and there are few settings more iconic than St George’s Hall. Against the backdrop of one of Liverpool’s most historic buildings, our team worked across a busy first day and night to complete a significant programme of lifts, safely ticking off key milestones for our client.
Despite the cold, the rain, and the long hours, our crews delivered with the professionalism and commitment they’re known for.
“This project is one we look forward to every year,” said Hayley Sutch, Managing Director Designate at John Sutch Cranes.
“It’s more than operational support, it’s about helping create a magical experience for the city. Seeing our team play a part in bringing Christmas to life for Liverpool is something we’re extremely proud of.”
For the John Sutch Cranes team, this annual project carries real significance. Supporting the build of Liverpool’s festive installations is not just another job - it’s an opportunity to contribute to the community and the atmosphere that brings families into the city every winter.
From market structures to festive features, every lift helps shape the spaces that thousands of people will enjoy throughout the season. And while it might only be November, the Christmas preparations never stop - the show must go on, and so must the lifts.
We’re grateful to our client for their continued trust in us, year after year, and immensely proud of our team for delivering another safe, successful operation.
