John Sutch Cranes has taken delivery of its third Sany all terrain crane as part of an ongoing fleet renewal programme.
The four-axle SA700e was ordered through UK dealer Crowland Cranes and will be based at the company's Manchester depot.
Fitted with a 50-metre pinned main boom and a 16-metre bi-fold swingaway extension, it offers a maximum tip height of around 69 metres with up to 40 degrees of offset, adding serious reach and capacity to a fleet that already includes two Sany 60-tonne all terrains.
There was no delay in putting the new machine to work.
The SA700e completed its first lift today, only two weeks after delivery and induction, a sign of the demand the business is currently experiencing across the UK.
Managing Director Designate Hayley Sutch said: "This new SA700e is a very welcome addition to our fleet and takes our Sany all terrain count to three units. We've been really impressed with how the Sany cranes have performed for us and for our clients. The reliability and the specification at this capacity make them a genuinely strong proposition.
"The fact that this one went straight out to its first lift the day after it get to work tells you everything about the demand we're seeing right now. Fleet investment is something we take seriously as a family business, every crane we add has to earn its place and this one already has."
The SA700e's arrival continues a considered and accelerating investment programme at John Sutch Cranes. The 70-tonne capacity fills an important slot in the fleet offering clients a step up from the 60-tonne all terrains where a lift demands greater capacity, without the mobilisation complexity and cost of moving to the company's larger machines.
