Behind every lift is the maintenance you don't see

John Sutch Crane's dedicated team ensure the crane you get on site is one that's in tip top condition

Every crane in the John Sutch fleet goes through a full six-monthly strip-down as standard.

This is not reactive maintenance, it's planned, thorough, and non-negotiable.

When you have been in business for over 36 years, work like this is the norm but absolutely needed as part of our commitment to safety.

On this Grove GMK5200-1, that meant stripping the vehicle back and upgrading components that needed it, from axle assemblies through to the wider running gear. It's work our maintenance team carries out whether or not anything is visibly wrong, because waiting for a fault to appear on-site is a risk John Sutch Cranes doesn't take.

The company operates a dedicated maintenance team and can run 24/7 when the fleet requires it, ensuring every crane meets the same standard before it goes back out to a customer.

It's not the most visible part of the job. But it's the part that makes everything else possible - a fleet that's genuinely ready, every time it's needed.

Chris Fisher, Manchester Depot Manager, where this Crane (which is still earning money for charity) is based out of, said: "John Sutch Cranes continues to invest in its fleet and maintenance operation as part of its ongoing commitment to safety and reliability across every job, every sector, every time. Safety is paramount for us and this is just one example of it"
