John Sutch Cranes is building on their in-house rail sector experience, becoming a verified supplier to the industry.
Britain’s rail infrastructure is seen as a key component of future economic growth, with plans for further expansion to carry more people and freight in the future. This enlargement and improvement of the network will require a confident supply chain, not least in the north of England where the Northern Powerhouse strategy has the Northern Transport Strategy at its heart.
To become even more “rail project ready” John Sutch Cranes have registered and qualified for RISQS. As a verified supplier on RISQS, a scheme run by Achilles in which they audit and assess suppliers to pre-qualify with over 110 buying organisations, John Sutch can demonstrate their credentials to the rail sector. The scheme audited the company against a predetermined set of criteria, and allows them to express interest in meeting buyers’ needs, while avoiding unnecessary duplication. The benefit to buyers is to assure them that risk in the supply chain is managed effectively.
Hayley Sutch-Ware, MD Designate, commented “The RISQS qualification now sits alongside our UVDB and Builders Confidence, to create a broad platform of quality supplier accreditations. Qualified for a wide range of projects, across a wide range of industries, what we bring to this mix is the consistency of a quality lifting service, with experienced operators in a modern fleet, backed by professional management systems.”
