Health & Safety Management boosted with SMAS Worksafe

September 14, 2016

Demonstrating our ongoing commitment to improving Health & Safety, John Sutch Cranes has successfully completed the assessment process for SMAS Worksafe.

This process looked specifically at our management systems for H&S, looking to evidence the H&S policy, method statements and risk assessments, H&S training, Insurance, Sub-contractor assessment processes and accident records. The SMAS accreditation means that we have also met the standards set by the Safety Schemes in Procurement Forum (SSIP).

Hayley Sutch MD (Designate) commented “SMAS Worksafe has a focus in new build construction and beyond. John Sutch Cranes wanted to give our customers the evidence they need to feel confident to use our Crane Hire and Contract Hire Services. All our clients who use the SMAS Portal for their approved contractor process, will now be able to see John Sutch Cranes on there, and we will also be displayed on the SSIP national database.”
